Progess in household fuel cells
: "Plug Power Inc. announced today that its 5kW, grid-parallel, natural gas-fueled fuel cell systems have generated more than 1 million kilowatt hours of electricity in the field this year. These systems were installed and have operated in more than 20 customer locations in seven U.S. states and three countries with an additional 13 systems slated to be installed in the upcoming weeks" 2:18:06 PM
Kyoto status report and ethanol deal:
"Germany and Brazil wrapped up talks this week geared toward a program worth a reported $43 million over 10 years to fund the production of 100,000 non-polluting ethanol-fueled vehicles. The two sides are drafting the agreement under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) established by the Kyoto Protocol on global warming .. Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder intend to announce the accord during the World Summit on Sustainable Development." 1:42:01 PM
